Prepare to hoist the Jolly Roger! The legendary Tri-County Treasure Hunt returns for 2026, and it’s bigger and bolder than ever (free to enter; must be age 18+). This unique weekend adventure spans across Licking, Perry, and Fairfield counties, inviting scallywags of all ages to collect bounty from local businesses by land or by sea!

Every “X” on the map marks a spot for treasure! At each participating location, you can enter a drawing for a customized Treasure Chest filled with unique booty curated by that specific business.
As you navigate the tri-county area, enjoy:
Join the adventure with your fellow mateys on a series of special Pirate Treasure Hunt Tours happening throughout the festival weekend. Show up at the hours listed, pick up your exclusive tour‑only treasure map, and enjoy hours of swashbuckling fun across Buckeye Lake and the Tri‑County region. While supplies last.
Whether you’re a sailor or a landlubber, you can reach the treasure! Different sections of the Pirate Treasure Hunt are accessible by: Foot & Bicycle, ATV / Side‑by‑Side, Boat & Pontoon, Golf Car, Car and Motorcycle.
Many participating Treasure Hunt locations will be offering exclusive Pirate Fest drink specials, including the limited‑edition Captain’s Carbliss Grog. This signature festival drink blends dark rum with Carbliss Lemon Lime on ice, finished with a dramatic black‑salt rim that will become a favorite among Pirate festivalgoers.
Guests can enjoy the Captain’s Grog at select bars, restaurants, and taverns throughout the Treasure Hunt route. Each participating location may feature its own twist or pairing, giving visitors a chance to sample unique variations as they explore Buckeye Lake.
These specials add an extra layer of fun to the Treasure Hunt experience and give guests a refreshing way to celebrate their progress on their map.
Many participating area businesses will offer food and retail specials and sport pirate attire or decorations at their venues during the event.
